Power Cup Event Director Anna Komu is taking parental leave, and Saku Köykkä will take over her duties in charge of the event. Köykkä will be responsible for the preparations and organization of the 2027 Power Cup while Komu is on parental leave.

Köykkä is already familiar with the Power Cup, having previously worked on several Power Cup events as a producer. In addition, Köykkä served as event director for the CEV Enel EuroVolley 2026 men held in Tampere. He currently works as an event manager, whose responsibilities include the national volleyball team’s events and the Finnish Cup. His diverse experience in organizing and producing volleyball events provides a strong foundation for his role as event director of the Power Cup.

The Power Cup, the world’s largest volleyball tournament for children and youth, will be held in Helsinki from June 17–20, 2027. The event venue will be Käpylä Sports Park. The Power Cup brings together thousands of children and youth, teams, coaches, parents, volunteers, and other volleyball enthusiasts. In addition to the matches, the four-day event offers a sense of community, memorable experiences, and the joy of physical activity.
