The second day of the Power Cup once again offered participants unforgettable moments both on and off the courts. The day began in damp conditions following overnight rain. The courts had received plenty of water during the night, and the cloudy weather combined with humid air added its own flavor to the day of play. However, the conditions did not slow down the tournament crowd, as the courts once again saw outstanding performances, close matches, and joyful successes.
Between matches, there was plenty to do in the event area. Activities organized by partners at the Power Market and stage competitions attracted a large number of participants, and prizes were handed out to enthusiastic competitors throughout the day. The event area pulsed with energy and community spirit, which are an essential part of the Power Cup experience.
During the day, a significant moment was also seen in recognizing work done for Finnish youth volleyball, when Neova awarded Growth Scholarships to clubs on the Power stage. The scholarships honored clubs for their valuable work in developing and promoting youth volleyball. The recognition highlighted how important long-term club work is for the future of Finnish volleyball.
The most anticipated program of the evening came when the Power Cup community gathered to support the Finnish men’s national volleyball team in their European League match. All Power participants were invited to the match event, and the invitation was answered in an amazing way. Over 6,000 youth volleyball players filled the stands, creating a unique atmosphere as they loudly cheered Finland throughout the match.
The encounter between young players and the national team was one of the highlights of the weekend. The stands were filled with club colors as future volleyball players got to experience top-level international volleyball. The atmosphere was electric and once again demonstrated how strong and united the Finnish volleyball community is.
At the end of the second day, the Power Cup continues at full speed toward the final matches of the weekend. Above all, the courts are filled with shared memories that participants will carry with them long after the event is over.
