Käpylä Sports Park in Helsinki will be filled with volleyball fever when the Power Cup brings together thousands of junior players, coaches, parents, and volunteers from June 11–14, 2026, for the most awaited sports event of the summer. Over the coming days, the Käpylä Sports Park area will be filled with the excitement of the games, joyful reunions, cheering crowds, and above all, the unique Power Cup spirit.

As you move around the event area, you can feel the excitement in the air. Teams will begin arriving as early as Wednesday from all over Finland, as well as from abroad. On Thursday, June 11, at 12:00 PM, the first balls will be thrown into the air at the whistle of Event Director Anna Komu. The Power Cup is not just a volleyball tournament—it is a place to meet new people, make new friends, create shared memories, and have experiences that will stay with you forever.

The event officially kicks off with the opening ceremony on Thursday at 6:45 p.m., where thousands of participants will gather to celebrate the four-day event together. The opening ceremony is traditionally one of the highlights. This year, one of the biggest names in Finland’s new wave scene, Ares, will take the Helsinki stage at the opening ceremony. Exuding confidence and energy, Ares is known for his high-energy live performances that instantly win over the audience.

As always, the heart of the event is the Power market, which offers activities and experiences even off the playing fields. In the area, you can meet the event’s partners, take part in various activities, participate in competitions, and spend time with teammates between games. The Power Cup is an event open to everyone, and entry to the area is free.

“There’s always a special atmosphere at the Power Cup that’s hard to put into words. When thousands of young people come together to play, cheer, and spend time with their friends, something unique happens. Here, every success is celebrated with applause, and every team is part of one big volleyball family. It’s wonderful to see how the event brings people together and creates memories that will be cherished for years to come. We also expect the event to attract many visitors to the area,” comments Power Cup Event Director Anna Komu.

Four days of games, victories, celebrations and, above all, the joy of sports await us. Whether the sun is shining or not, the Power Cup atmosphere is created by the people—thousands of youngsters who, year after year, make the event one of the brightest highlights of the Finnish sports summer.

The Power Cup is ready to kick off. The fields await the players, the stands await the fans, and Helsinki awaits one of the summer’s biggest sports festivals!
