The second day of the Power Cup kicked off with a cheerful atmosphere and warm morning sunshine as the players made their way to the field. The teams had clearly found their rhythm. The matches in the morning brought tight ball rallies and great team spirit as the teams battled for points in a serious but fair play spirit.

At the Power market, the atmosphere was energetic once again. Youngsters gathered at the market during breaks in the games to meet friends and take part in various competitions on the main stage. Visitors from the national teams were also in the spotlight, as Niko Suihkonen from the the men’s national team and Saana Lindgren, Laura Penttilä, Yasmine Madsen, Neea-Maria Joki, Suvi Kokkonen and Heini Ahtola from the women’s national team were spotted at the Power market. Many eager youngsters came to say hello to the players and get their jerseys autographed.

The afternoon’s warming and sunny weather also attracted more spectators than yesterday to the side of the courts to cheer on the players. The courts are certainly in full use. Especially on Pema’s artificial grass, Paavo Koivisto maintains the lines every time the breaks come.

In the evening, we got to hear the big news of the Power Cup, when the 2026 and 2027 venues were announced on the Picnic main stage for the Power players. This was followed by the award ceremony for clubs that have increased their game pass amounts. The second day of the Power Cup was highlighted by the Golden League match Finland – Slovakia.
