General Information

Power Cup is expected to welcome over 10 000 players, team members, and visitors over the first weekend of June. To ensure safe and smooth traffic during the event, extra caution and adherence to pre-issued instructions are necessary. The main event location is the Loimaa Sports Center, which hosts the Power market and the majority of the playing fields. The Loimaa Ice Hall serves as the dining center, and additional fields are located at Vilakone and Loimaa Central School. Travel to the dining areas will primarily be on foot.

Private Vehicle Parking

All drivers must strictly follow the current road traffic regulations when parking their vehicles. Vehicles must be parked only in designated spots, and drivers are responsible for parking. Parking on city green spaces and park areas is strictly prohibited.

A limited number of parking spaces have been allocated by the organizers. These parking spots are located in the yard of Novida’s Turuntie unit, in the yard of Loimaa High School, and as parallel street parking along Mattilankatu, Lönnrotinkatu, Sammonkatu, and Huvilakatu. Traffic control will be in place for street parking during the mornings.

Designated parking spaces for persons with reduced mobility will be available in the yards of Novida’s Turuntie unit and the high school. In addition, there will be a parking space reserved for those with reduced mobility near the Central School on Vapaudenkatu, as well as two spaces in the small parking area between the school and playing fields, reserved by the organizers.

Due to the limited availability of parking spaces, carpooling is recommended. If possible, it is advisable to come to the event on foot or by bicycle.

Bus movement, loading and unloading locations and parking

During the event, buses will use Loimaa’s main roads, which include Pikatie, Turuntie, Puistokatu, Lamminkatu, and Sammonkatu. Buses will arrive at the Loimaa Sports Center via Puistokatu or via Puistokatu and then Sammonkatu. Sammonkatu will be temporarily converted into a one-way street during the event to facilitate smooth traffic flow.

The designated loading and unloading areas (specifically marked zones) for teams are as follows:

• Sammonkatu: Fields 5, 6, and 7, as well as Power Square

• Loimaa High School (Puistokatu): Fields 3 and 4 (and, if necessary, also Fields 5, 6, 7, and Power market when Sammonkatu is congested)

• Vilakone: Field 2

• Kalevalankatu: Field 1

Bus drivers transporting teams must adhere to these instructions. If there are changes to the arrangements, teams will be informed. The loading and unloading areas are not waiting areas. When picking up teams from the fields, it is crucial that the team notifies the bus driver when they are ready to leave. Only after this notification should the bus proceed to the designated loading zone to pick up the team. Pickups should be performed promptly to maintain smooth traffic flow.

Bus Parking

Bus parking will be directed by traffic controllers, mainly during the mornings, at all designated bus parking areas defined by the organizers. The assigned parking locations for team buses are listed in the attached map. If necessary, these parking arrangements may be modified. Bus drivers must follow the designated parking areas and the instructions provided by traffic controllers at the parking sites.
