The final day concluded the event with sunny weather and final games. Despite the long days and many games behind them, the players are ready for the last day’s games: “The games have gone better than expected, the aim was to get the team spirit together and improve!”. The players agree with one another that the goals have been achieved!

Vihti Volleyball’s coaching duo Jussi Sipiläinen and former national team player Mikko Oivanen comment on the day’s games. “It’s my first time at the Power Cup and I knew it was a big event, but it’s a great atmosphere here!” Sipilä, a first timer at the Power Cup, said. Oivanen, the national team coach, continues about the results of the games: “Yesterday we won games, but today hasn’t gone so well in terms of wins, but that’s not the most important thing. The kids are happy and have enjoyed, that’s the most important thing!”.

Volunteers and partners were also happy with the way the event went:

Panu Salmijärvi, who will play for Hurrikaani Loimaa next season, commented from the sidelines: “It’s fun to watch the kids spending time and playing together!”. The players of the Finnish Volleyball league team volunteered in various roles at the event.

Ingman’s ice cream cart was still very popular at the end of the last day. Ingman employee Kai Männistö evaluates the Power Cup from an entrepreneur’s point of view: “A great event, but the weather has been a bit chilly. The sales have been pretty good!”

Picnic considered the Power Cup a success and was pleased with the energy of the players and the joy of the game: “We’ve had a super fun time!”. Picnic employee Tatu Salminen describes the spirit of the Power Cup: “Working together, cheering each other on and helping your friends”. Salminen sends his thanks to the players: “On behalf of myself and Picnic, I would like to thank everyone who has visited our point and here at the Power market. The athmosphere was great!”.

At the end of the day, the teams were awarded on the main stage, hosted by Mika Rajala. A huge crowd of teams and supporters gathered in front of the Picnic stage to watch the awards ceremony as the sun was shining over the Power market.

At the awards ceremony, Picnic presented a cheque to the Volleyball Foundation based on the sales of the Power meal. For every Power Meal sold, 1 euro was donated to the Volleyball foundation, bringing the total to a fantastic 1262€!

After the award ceremony and one last delicious meal, the teams will head home. A long Power Cup, full of joy and team spirit, comes to a successful end as the volunteers are still unpacking the event area. Although this year’s Power Cup has just come to an end, many have their eyes on next summer, when the world’s biggest volleyball event for children and youth heads to our capital Helsinki.

That’s it! The 2025 Power Cup is now over and an unforgettable four-day tournament full of fun, excitement and great times is behind us. Thank you!
