Kuldigas Latvian girls – First time in the Power Cup
From the Kuldigas region of Latvia, teams from the C, D and E age groups have participated in the tournament. This is the first time they have taken part in such a major tournament outside their home country. The Kuldiga region has a population of around 27 000.
The C girls team, coached by Ieva Leite, had 3 wins and 1 loss on the first day. A multi-day tournament like the Power Cup is a new experience for the players. The previous tournaments they have participated in have been one-day tournaments. For the players and Ieva Lietenaiva, the atmosphere of a longer tournament is special. C girls’ players Reicela Tabita and Elina Huna said that the length of the tournament allows them to get to know the players from other teams. And you get to use English at the same time.

Nordic power boost for the Power Cup from Norway
Trio IL is participating with one 10-player B- age group girls’ team. The team comes from Husnes in the Kvinneherad municipality on the west coast of Norway. The nearest larger city is Bergen.
Players Sarah Baroud, Tiril Elise Sunde, Emilee Prestey and Sofie Hinde told that they also play Beach Volleyball, so the conditions for outdoor games are familiar. However, Saturday’s strong winds required some adjustment. The atmosphere of the tournament gets praise from both players and coach.
The club is a general club whose activities include volleyball, football, swimming, gymnastics and e-sport. The team’s morning game with Vieremän volleyball was a great way to get a game experience. Before the second game of the day against Oulu Kisko, the team spent time on the hills of the Keskuskoulu grass area. The atmosphere of the tournament was highly appreciated by the team.
